mkiii dash light im not sure of

i started up my car today and noticed there was a dash light on and my good for nothing haynes manual didnt help at telling me what it was, so to the interwebs i go. it looks like a birdcage and is on the left side of the cluster.

First tip, ditch the Haynes manuel, they screwed it up so bad on our cars that it usually makes a situation worse by using it. Second, that light is affectionately known as the birdcage light, it means your bird has escaped. That or your coolant overflow bottle is low. Find out why.
