Ive had several supras now, mkiii and mkiv as well as an mk1 and mk2 thrown in the mix. I think its somewhere near 20 total. So anyway, I sold my mkiv 2 years ago, and had gotten out of it for a little while. That is, until my friend found this shell. He sent me some pictures, of a very clean 1990 NA hardtop, non tems, non ABS car with 90K miles and a BHG engine that had been sitting for about a year. And get this, it was even a decent color, with grey interior!

So, of course, I pick the shell up for 500 dollars, and decide immediatly that since I have to do a swap of some sort anyway, it may as well be a 2jz. I've had a 2jz cresida, a high horsepower 7m car, as well as multiple bpu 7m cars, a 1uz-fe mkI, and a gte and GE-T mkiv... but never a 2jz mkiii. So it was about due anyway.

Anyway, I'm not going to go crazy with every single little detail of the build, just mainly a few steps and final product.

So here are the specs. 2jz-GE from a 1994 Lexus SC300 that was totaled with 78K miles. Fresh rings and ACL race bearings. ARP rod bolts, ARP head studs, OEM TT head gasket. 264 Reground GE cams, rebuilt head with 3 angle valve job and very light surfacing.

The turbo is a precision 76GTS, injectors are RC1000's. The car is running on AEM v2 6101 box. China manifold, stock catback with a 3.5" inch downpipe and midpipe as well as a 3.5 inch electric cutout for dead quiet cruising and no law enforcement attention.

Some other stuff...

Innovate LC1, dual aeromotive 340lphs, 2 6an fuel feed lines, stock rail modified to dual feed, aeromotive FPR, Flex fuel sensor, modified ebay sheet metal plenum and 100mm throttle body adapter to the oem 2jz tps, custom intercooler piping with a 12X24X4 inch intercooler core, battery in hatch, Low mileage R154, ACT clutch, new oem 1jz flywheel, and so on....

So anyway, here is the product of the build, nearly complete. Still need to do some small things, like swap to crank trigger wheel, and build a 4 inch intake, but its mostly done.

750-800 on race gas. I only have enough fuel for 700 on e85. It would be neat just to put it on kill and make 1000 whp on the dyno once. I have enough fuel and turbo to do it.

Nice build! Love the exhaust set up dude. What rear end are you running with? Sorry if I missed it somewhere.

Is that an OEM r154 or have you modified it? 700-800 seems like a lot for an OEM r154.. Cool build none the less.

It's got a few marlin crawler parts in the r154. They key to it living will be being nice to it at higher power levels. The car currently has a 4.30 lsd in it, looking for a 3.7x supra different to replace it.
