Leak at hatchback

I have been trying to find a water leak at the hatchback. I have replaced weatherstripping, removed and reset the glass. It only seems to leak when parked in the rain, water ends up on top of the plastic trim that roll cover attaches to at the bottom of the hatch comes pouring out when opened. Any ideas would be great.

You should look under the window molding along the bottom of the rear window. I believe there may be holes there where water can get in.

What about the seals for the mounts on the wing and the wiper pass-through?

I had the same problem and narrowed it down to the 3 plastic supports that hold the bottom of the hatch glass. They penetrate the metal and overtime leak. Here's a link to another website, where I discuss the problem, and a solution. I also leave some paper towel in there to catch any stray drops and while diagnosing the problem. I left out all but 2 of the retaining clips until the leak was solved. Click here to go there.

Also inspect the wiring grommets at the top of the window frame, one on each side.
