Doesn't look like it did too much rotting. Congrats on the new purchase, and quick revival. What does your buddy think of you now owning his old car?

Yeah i mean for not having been moved for two years you are correct it held up really well.. front tires are dry rotted, brakes where pretty bad, and the fuel came out a cloudy yellow like varnish.
It's crazy the guy he sold it too lived a block away from him so he's seen it sitting there under the tree the last couple years.. I think he's just glad to see it not go to waste.

Not bad not bad, i saved an MK2 from Rotting.. Sat for 5-6 years...
the 5MGE was original, never opened & when the time came to take off the oil pan off, not even crow bars would help.. all the oil pan bolts were off.. It was a complete pain in the ass.. Thats what Penzoil oil does..
