Is this a Lexus AFM?

I recently bought a 1989 Toyota Supra and I got it on the dyno and was running really lean at wot over 4.5k rpm
Part Number on housing: Toyota 22250 46010 4F 6

Ct-26 Turbo @9psi
Titan Metal Head Gasket
ARP studs torqued @ 84 ft/lb
Lightweight Aluminum Pulleys with all new belts
New Alternator, starter, battery
HPS 3in silicon turbo intake hose
Mishimoto aluminum radiator with HPS silicon coolant hoses
Dual 10inch Flex-a-lite 3000cfm E fans wired in to turn on and shut off automatically
Ssqv style bov
3inch Downpipe and full 3inch one piece custom made exhaust

That part number cross references to a 2JZGE...so yes, it's a Lexus AFM, just not the 1UZFE unit that is commonly used. You need to put a 7MGTE AFM in its place.

Probably will work fine considering both motors are 3 liters and not a 4 liter like the 1UZ...

What should I be checking if that AFM is okay? Afr on dyno read 18 at wot. Could the reading just be faulty? I ordered 550cc injectors, mkiv TT fuel pump, and spark plugs to put in and see how it goes

Poodles is saying that AFM housing maybe a suitable replacement for the stock 7MGTE AFM housing. It is not however the appropriate AFM housing for the LEX/550 upgrade. That is a different housing.

That said, dyno wideband sensors go int he tailpipe, so if there's anywhere that could be getting air into the exhaust system (Which is anywhere that might be leaking exhaust) then their accuracy isn't guaranteed. If there's non-exhaust air in the system, then it will show leaner than it really is.

That said, it's likely to show leaner than it is at lower throttle, rather than higher (With a greater volume of exhaust gas, less room for air to come into the system, and it would matter less if it did.) I think it's safest to assume that the dyno wideband is at least close, and treat it as though you have a lean condition which needs rectifying.

I hate that they put that stupid emblem right in the middle of the graph but it actually you can see the red max out the readings

Something funny going on there. That is not the dyno graph of something that is going lean like that. His sensor may be on the way out.

Thanks I will look into a second dyno and see if the readings are similar.

Ha, I don't think it would of gotten blown out but always a possibility both runs produced similar results

Installed mkiv denso TT fuel pump, Bosch 550cc injectors, new fuel filter, Lexus AFM, autolite plugs gapped to approx 28 and still it runs really rich and suddenly just leans out and car seems to sputter or not want to rev past about 5,500rpm.

Not sure what to really do at this point, going to try replacing coil pack and wires plugs again to ensure its just not burning all the fuel in the cylinders and maybe causing to to read lean?
