Hey all, i was planning on going to the track Saturday (7/10 Yesterday) so i bought a camera (Sony Cybershot DSC-W350) so i could take good pictures and videos of my car going down the track. Well it was rained out so i took some pictures to attempt to make some HDR pictures of my car.

I really dont know much about photography so im kinda learning as i go by reading tutorials and such.

Heres a couple shots i made with a before and after.

Before, Camera in auto mode.

How many exposures were you doing for each pic? HDR has its uses..here is a great example my friend did (5 exposures):

My advice is to skip the gimmicky HDR stuff and move on to learning composition and exposure. Going out and taking pictures to learn is a great way to figure out what works and what doesn't.

I took 3 Exposures for each picture. -2, 2 and +2EV.

I like the way it makes the picture look more full and i guess vibrant is the word.

I think the camera is somewhat limited in its abilities. Me as an operator doesnt help.

Do you take pictures with specific settings? Or do you take a bunch with all different settings and when you view them later see what worked?

Also, how do you get that animated cartoon-ish look for an HDR picture? I played with everything and couldn't get that computer generated look.

Two more. Before in auto mode

Always loved HDR stuff, looks awesome man. Keep it up! I think I might do some shots of my car soon too.

Did you use a tripod?

Thanks! Yea i bought one from radio shack. It was 17 dollars after tax.

I like the way it makes the picture more live and full. I really want to get that cartoonish look though. I think it looks cool.
