im going to run a walboro w/12 v mod, AFPR, to some 560's. is it necessary to have a fuel dampener bypass? ive read up on it. all it does is help with the flow of the fuel and smooth out the pulsation of the FP. so does anyone know if it is necessary?

I would say no, simply because its not a restriction, and removing it can cause issues.

On my car- I had a Denso (mk4TT) pump, and a FPD removed, I (and others) had a lean spot around 2800-3200rpm and you couldn't tune it out. When I went to dual pumps with more rubber lines the issue went away (the rubber lines act as a stand-in pulsation damper by expanding and contracting). Other people who stay on 1 pump just reinstall the FPD.
