clutch bearing hub assembly cone spring

Does anyone know/remember in which direction the cone spring that goes on the inside of the release bearing faces? When you are installing the spring and then the flat washer, does the cone spring go on the hub so that the cone would be upright or inverted? Page CL-14 of the TSRM:

Step 8, and figure CL0317 attempts to show the direction but I cannot decipher it.

"HINT: Make sure to install the cone spring in correct direction as shown in the figure". Yeah too bad you can't even tell what the hell the figure is trying to depict!! :aigo:

Just assemble it one way and see if it acts as a spring when you press the whole assembly down. If it springs back, I guess that is the correct direction.
