So I am a crew member for a Nascar southwest tour truck we run a mild chevrolet V8 and we were told to use this oil for it from our engine bulider. Ive read a great deal of your articles and posts here and am amazed at what you know. Now id like to know if i can run this in my supra, 91 turbo all stock(in which i run the german castrol). Id also like to hear your take on the oil and if you have ever personally used it or know someone who has. Spec Sheet is here

1) It's a synthetic blend - GC is a PAO synthetic
2) It's a 20W-50 with a cold viscosity 2 1/2 times that of GC
3) It's hot viscosity is 35% more than GC and almost twice that of your typical 5W-30

If you've been reading, you should know what the answer is for running this in a Supra motor. ;)
In fact, most NASCAR teams have gone to 0W-30 or 0W-20 oils or straight 0W, 5W to reduce fluid friction and squeeze every last bit of HP out of the motor they can. It all depends on how the engine is built bearing clearance wise. A PAO or ester based synthetic can handle it - gets changed between races anyway.
