CB radio in car

i dont know if this is the right place but has anyone ever heard of or done this, i remember seeing a guy w/ a cb radio in his car that was hooked up to a megaphone or something and it was just like the cops, he could speak into the mic and you would hear it outside of the car, anyone heard/know about this??

I have done it to a lot of cars...very common. Especially if you go on a lot of cruises and rides.

Scanners are even better haha.

Step 1: Buy a CB
Step 2: Install CB in desired location
Step 3: Install some sort of antenna
Step 4: Enjoy

Pretty easy.

try to find a setup that you can splice into your stock radio antenna... cause a CB antenna just looks retarded on a car!!!

i had a cell antenna on my stupid for a lil bit... was ontop of the back window behind the washer squirter... looked cool but very dated LOL

stock antenna is going to pick up jack shit...

OP is talking aobut a PA system that's hooked up to the CB radio. Most people don't use CB's anymore since handheld radios have such great ranges and more channels.

Yea...PA's are cool and all, until the cop pulls you over and says you have 30 days to remove it!

In the 70's, CB radios came in some cars as an option from the factory.


Police, Fire, and EMS use a PA system through the sirens not a cb. Our's has a PA switch and a mic. We use it to yell at stupid drivers sometimes.
