On the CPS side and the Harness side:
What color to color are the wires?

My 1986.5 does not match up, don't ask me why Toyota did this, but it is what it is.

Harness - CPS - Signal
Blue - Red - NE
Red - Green - G1
Black - Tan - G-
Yellow - Yellow - G2

You might want to trace the wire color on the CPS connector side to each individual pickup coil.
Verify the pinout matches up with the correct harness side colors.

Yah, I was careful to put each wire back with it's corresponding color and even used the cut out connectors to verify since they were known working before the AEM fiasco.
It matches what you listed above.

I've double and triple checked that they match up per TSRM?

I did test the resistance again today on the CPS side and used some alligator clips to ensure I could keep on the pins. It seemed like it was all over the place but overwhelmingly less that the required 140ohms... hmm. Either it's not reading right or all my pickups are bad. Not sure which is more likely. I guess I should bite the bullet and get another CPS to test and tryout. I just think it's odd that it would go from working flawlessly to non functional.

Which wires are involved in the ignition process on the ECU side. IgF, IgT, any others? I'd like to go over that again...

I followed the TSRM for igniter and coils. They checked out good. The EFI fuse and IGN fuse are good. Checked those. I haven't tested the relay.

Thanks for the link for the STA signal, gonna check that one out tomorrow morning! I'll post back.

Thanks for the help!

It runs! So I'm embarrassed to say but it was my timing. I wrote it off early as I had redone my valve seals a few months earlier and set the timing at that time. It ran great and then I installed the AEM and then got it "tuned". Somehow, the belt must have jumped almost 4 teeth on the exhaust side, because it didn't line up. Got everything reset to TDC and boom. Fired right up... go figure.

That's why the TSRM has a flow chart, and Timing is the first thing listed... lesson learned.

Thanks for all the help gentleman! Really appreciate It!
