so if i wanted to retard mt timming i'd turn my cps counter clockwise this would free up a few extra hp in the higher rpm?? even with my factory cams??

The CPS adjusts spark timing, not cam timing. To adjust cam timing, you'd need adjustable cam gears. Set spark timing to stock specs per TSRM, unless you have a standalone, then you can set it to whatever you feel like since you have complete timing control.
you adjust ignition timing based on mods and boost level, but yes retard clockwise if my mind remebers, based on mods and boost.
if i were to advance my ign. timming a few degrees it will free up a little more power?? i'm at 10psi how much would you advance it at this point..?
