swap motorized antenna with a stationary?
i was wondering if anyone knows what would need to be done to do so. im not that knowledgable in this area so right now im just left with ideas. would i:

a) cut the 'power' cable at the motor and put some kind of threaded tip on the end for an antenna to attatch too

or would i

b) disconnect a wire from the back of the radio and then find a wire that has threads at the end and then run it to the back?

im sorry if this sounds like a stupid question. im kind of just looking for some insight on this

Plain and simple...

Bought an antenna at Autozone for 20 bucks. Pulled out the Stocker unplugs and plugs into the new one.
Finished in 30 mins since you gotta pull back the interior...

Antenna connections are all the same, any aftermarket antenna should plug right in to the stock line, that is already in the car.
So just pick one you like.

With that being said, cable and mast replacement is fairly simple and cheap. And thats usually the problem.
I like the auto antenna.

Save weight and get a more modern, shorter, antenna. Although the transformers sound from the retractable is cool.
