AC after swap......ac compressors

So ive read that you have to remove the top of the 7m compressor and put it on the 2j one.......but.....I have not seen anyone address this issue that I ran into.

The newer aristo swaps come with a compressor that has a smaller cover than the 7m. How is everyone getting to retain the ac in that situation? Buy a new AC compressor?

I know that I am not the only one that has run into this......any help out there?

smaller cover? do you have pics? mine were the same size but i had an older 2jz havent tried the newer...

Ok several of you have pm'ed me with the same question and basically you have to get the mkiv supra compressor as the aristo one will not work if thats what your ac compressor came from.

Here is a pic showing the difference in the top plates.....Aristo on the left and Supra on the right. Hope this helps.......
