I was in the middle of rebuilding my auto transmission from an 87 supra 7-MGE and I noticed that the gaskets from the valve body was cracking and falling apart. So I took it all apart and ordered the rebuild gaskets and when i received them the top one was the correct one but the bottom one was a little different. I talked to the guy that i ordered them through and he told me that Toyota had a problem with shift patterns for a while and the repair was to remove the valvebody gaskets and just use the plate. So I'm a little skeptical if this will work????? So would like to know if any one has any info on this and if this might work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
