A/T ECU into a Manual Supra

For a while now i've been trying to figure out if this could be done.

pretty much, i would go on ebay to do a price check for an engine of my liking (whether it be a 1jz or 2jz) and see that a majority of the engines posted has ECU's but are of the A/T type.

Is it possible for the engine to still be wired up onto the M/T set up? I know that the general consensus for a swap is to get an engine with the same year and type ecu, but is there a way around this?

im looking to do the swap soon and i want to do it as right as possible.

on my 7mgte i have a jdm a/t on my manual . you can use auto ecu on manual car but not the other way around . its also important to know if you have a jdm enginer or not . with my 7m i needed a jdm ecu becuase i had a jdm engine which has no egr like us models

I have an automatic Chaser ECU in mine. Got my harness from Dr. Tweak and have had no issues.
