I've tried searching but no luck, has anyone had any luck fitting 275/40/18 on the rear of the mk3? I know 35's will fit but wanted to see if 40's will before I buy them. Thanks!

I'm running a 18x10.5 +22 with a 275/35 and room to go to a 40 sidewall. A 40 sidewall compared to a 35 is roughly an inch taller

You should be ok. I do have my fenders rolled and pulled aswell.

Take some measurements to make sure it'll fit your ride. If you have coilovers, they could be raised up a little to compensate

not all 275-40s' are the same. they differ from one manufacturer to another, but you should be ok.
you will definitely need a roll and pull, or some negative camber.
