If that tach is reading properly that means hes reving it to 8000RPM.
is that even possible with that motor?

I went and did a little research and saw that this is a short stroke motor, which leads me to believe that they can be a high revving motor.

of course its possible to rev to 8,000 rpms with the 1uzfe. it may not make alot of power out of the box but its solid as a rock and have been rev too 9,000 rpms heres different vid

More than likely the tach driver is still on the 6 cylinder range, I know mine would read high when I had the 7M tach driver in.

But as it was said, the 1UZ can rev it to insane rpms when built.
