SO I just took my swap for a lap around the neighborhood (shhhhhh) and I was already aware my first gear was out but upon driving it without first i found that third does the same thing! It wont let me shif into gear, and if I try it just grinds realy bad.. The install could have been messed up but im assuming the trannys toast, any help is greatly appreciated...

Does it go into gear if the car is parked and not running? If it does I'd say its a synchronizer issue. Try putting it in neutral and letting the clutch out, then try shifting into third. If none of that works I'd say its time fore a new transfer.
Also did you check level and condition of fluid? Look for any metallic bits in the oil.

Is the free play correct? Check the TSRM.
Clutch fluid low? Checked for leaks? Master cylinder or slave cylinder replaced?
