Hello from the Windy City (Chicago, that is! :icon_bigg),
I just started restoring a 1986 MKII - got the engine torn out, the body is in the middle of getting painted and I've got a great donor car that has an absolutely PRISTINE interior. The donor has 22k miles on it - was sitting in a storage unit that my friend got when he bought another storage unit building. Engine is so seized up it needs help so I poured Kroil down all the cylinders and I'm waiting to see if I can free it up - if so, I will run it and save it as a backup. I think it will run again. I don't know when it last ran but I am betting it was at least 15 years.

I'm getting the body painted at a Jay's Autobody in Chicago - one of the best guys I know in the Chicagoland area. He does great work. I gave him my Kawasaki KZ 750 that he had been salivating over in return for a paint job. The bike's in decent shape, but not worth more than $2k and the paint jobs he does are worth more than that. :icon_bigg

I'll post some pix when I get a chance.
