Here is something you don't see a lot on a 7m... I still need to finish polishing the valve covers and the center cover. It is held in place by a couple of screws that fit between the dip in the VC and the plate. That way there will be no visible screws on the top.

I came to that same conclusion when the center bearing could move about an 1/8" in any direction. The stock retainer just wore out. I was shocked. The MC retainer tightened it up.

I installed the MC washer right after they changed to the solid piece without oil passages. It worked fine for me. I was running about 360hp, sticky clutch and tearing it up every day for 9 months. No issues. Don't build back with the stock washer. Not worth it. I even had to wait 3 weeks...

Thinking about it today, I'm not going to have the head touched. I can put those funds into more progress. Glad to see people still getting excited about the build.
