I am not sure if you have been involved with any other Supra resource sites before but I have found it to be really helpful to anyone who owns one of these cars. I have had mine for about 4 years, it has 230,000 miles on it, so it has experienced a lot of small and major problems...

Since the time that photo was taken we put Mercedes Unimog Portal axles under the jeep and went to bead lock wheels and 46 inch tires. I took the old tires off the jeep and put them on my 89 mk III. The speedo reads 40 at 100mph. lol.

Stumped with high idle need help?

Actually it is not an "idle" screw at all. It has no purpose in the idle circuit. It is a throttle plate position screw which has only one purpose. It is to prevent the throttle plate from slamming so far shut that it seizes in the bore. The screw should never be moved unless the butterfly...

Stumped with high idle need help?

Someone is too dumb to realize that F--king with the idle screw moved the linkage away from the dashpot. He also has no understanding of where the 7mgte gets idle air from. It is not from the throttle valve but from the ISC. With the ISC delivering idle air there is no need for the throttle...

Is it ok/safe to bed new pads/rotors in the rain?

What a bunch of egotistical crap. Is it apples or oranges. Are we racing or getting rid of a squeak, are they organic, fiberglass, carbon fiber, metallic, high temp, low temp resin, premium or budget pads. What finish was left on the rotors, how much metal was left on the rotors, were the...

What to get when doing a BHG job other than the HG

One more thing to watch for is cracks at the head bolt holes leading to the water jacket. These come from some previous Jack @ss over torquing the head and breaking the bolt bosses. If there are cracks the head will never torque right, gasket will not seal, and coolant problems will never go...

    Tell me it aint so....

Be careful. Take a good look at the water pump. I had the same cooling issue with my 89 and after chasing it for awhile I found that the water pump seal was leaking. What made it such a mystery is it would only leak when hot at about 12psi. Standard pressure test didn't show a leak. I could...
