I've been riding in a MA70 chassis since 1988. I bought all of my MK3s out of nostalgia, so I usually don't really care what people think about my 1990. After so many years of ownership I usually don't let people bait me into those types of conversations. If someone does ask me...
That's what I'm thinking too; how much credibility can you possess when you drive a RX8? A factory RX8 is the definition of mediocre, and a waste of rotary motor.
At the end of the day, a MKIV is just a chassis. If you're lucky you may find a BPU TT 6 speed for around $23,000, and is also...
It was probably something minor being overlooked, after making some very minor adjustments the car started getting spark again. There were also some fuel issues to address, but that's also taken care of now. All that's left now is to finish up a few things, and to have a new exhaust fabricated.
Even though I believe its getting fuel, one of the codes is supposedly related to the fuel pump.
Could the problem be related to controlling the pump?

You might be right Mike. I don't suspect my sensors to be the problem, but I'll be checking them anyway to make sure. It is probably a wiring or ground issue in my case.
It definitely looks like its getting fuel though.
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Aristo non-VVTI 2JZ-GTE swap that was just put into a SC300. The car has a new Dr. Tweak harness, but everything else is completely 100% bone stock. The motor was last started almost a year ago while in a MA70 chassis.
The motor cranks for days, and is receiving...
You probably got lucky, I've never read anything good about Tiger Japanese, and the motor I received from them was total garbage.
I agree with hvyman, the OP should just rebuild.
If you had a Lexus AFM and 550's you'd likely know it. 550s is probably a better solution than using a BCC, messing with your AFM screw, trying to find a different waste spring, or any other solution. It'd be in your best interest to get a wideband before you start modding.
You may want to...
It is 100% better if you know someone to give you a little guidance. I had to teach myself to dial in and spray with a HVLP, and the learning curve wasn't bad, but it was still there. What I hate most about painting is the sticker shock of non-expendable materials.
If I do any painting this...
Word, I bought a rebuilt 7M-GE '91 5 speed factory sunroof for $2000 two years ago. 129,000 ODO, no rust, just a couple of dents, and faded clear coat.
OP: Find a close friend with a set of wheels, pay for his gas, and go on a roadtrip for a car that's not 100% over priced. Also consider...
Parts and displacement aside would you say the motor is about the same the 7M-GTE in terms of reliability levels?
I wouldn't have a huge problem with that if the parts were more accessible.
Keep in mind I'm not trashing the 1G either, I don't have an opinion on it one way or another.
