Would a boost leak really cause it to cut spark at an rpm range though.
The only leak is from the coupler to the turbo compressor and it keeps blowing the coupler off when I hit boost
AFR hits 10.2 when it cuts spark
I don't know what ecu other than its got blue writing, it's for 7mgte and M/T
Yes 550s are used with Lexus AFM
No codes show up at all even when it cuts spark
I've tried stock boost but not stock injectors
I melted the plastic wrap on most of the wires to install...
I checked The TPS, CPS and Coil Packs per the TSRM already I can check the others too
I'm Running Autolight 3055 double plat spark plugs with a .028 gap
Fuel injectors are RC 550
I forgot to add I put new fuel in it and new battery
So, I'm about to give up on this supra because I've tried everything and it still cuts spark at 2500rpm.
Details- New TPS
New CPS
3 New Coil packs
New ECU
2 New Knock sensors
New HAC
New Harness
New spark plugs...
I'm beyond confused with this car now, I got a new CPS that I tested on a working 7m and saw it work, I also got a new igniter that I saw work, I tested compression again and its good, I checked for fuel and it's good for sure, but my coils only spark 2 wires, and all of the coils and wires are...
So we put everything back together my harness was destroyed and I fixed it and tell me why my intake that wasn't bolted up it just had the hose that goes from the fuel rail to the intake caught fire, like it literally caught fire
I did a leak down test and no air anywhere, I think maybe the tester broke or something because when I took off the compressor hose it blew back tons of air
The test uses real compression like it screws into the sparkplug hole then you crank the engine and it test the compression so I don't know how I could have gotten wrong on the last cylinder but not the other 5 and for the puffs of air. I think because I can hear it but it might also be the...
Yup I've got a big big problem, I checked compression and cylinder 1-5 was 147psi, number 6 though was 0 completely 0 and I checked 3 times just in case maybe I put the tester on wrong, took off the intake and oil pools in every runner
My cps is good. I've got spark on 4 wires (3-4,2-5), I thought it could have been the connector so I put a different one on that a knew worked and still no spark, so dead coil pack
On the tsrm and tewd it shows a different pin location on cps but I got them correct, the rpms move when I crank, yes the coil pack is grounded to the head, and I can seem to figure out how to check the resistance on the coils, do you check the coils with the connectors in them or no?
Okay still doesn't run, but I don't think I'm getting spark on all of the cylinders, I think the coils are bad, I tested fuel but shorting b+ to fb and heard fuel go into the Rail then I grounded the injectors and saw fuel in the cylinders so fuel is not the problem, I've done the timing like 30...
