I figured it out.. the black nsw wire is a ground.. not a power wire.. the trc computer didn't do a damn thing. It works. Flips a check engine lamp when boost launching, it was removed. I still get a code for rpm signal wire. Haven't been to worried about it yet. Buy will look further into...
During the whole process of swapping my 1j, I never knew about this site. Maybe I can now figure out why my neutral safety switch isn't working as it should.. thanks
Thanks for the help. I just looked at my 1j harness and there is a plug kinda like that. I did some digging, the only thing I can find that plugs into mine is the trc computer. Idk if it does the same thing or not but I ordered one.
When I did my swap here in the last three months I ran into this issue.. in my case, the ground for the gauge cluster was wrong. It made my gauges peg/max out. I have 86.5 turbo chassis harness. All my gauges now work except the speedometer.. my car is a 1jz no. Vvti auto.. make sure you have a...
Didn't run it tonight. I did however get the radiator and fans mountermd. Trans cooler mountermd and power steering ran. Installed the new center support bearing, added coolant.. I'll bleed it tomorrow after I hook up the fan controller.. I did how hmever notice my cheap cx racing bov has two...
Pretty much. I'll look into the iac an see if it's all gummed up.. I forgot I had the same issue on the 7mgte. Maybe I'll finish putting my 3 core radiator in tonight so I can run it and check for vac leaks..
You know I'm not sure. I know when I pulled the 7mgte auto out years ago it was only one ecu labeled a/t now I believe there was one for cruse and or abs. But it's been 8 years since I've don't that.. I don't remember.. I tried to find info online but no luck yet.. I could have a vacuum leak, I...
My car is a factory turbo automatic chassis.. I personally have owned this car since 60k miles..ten plus years. the gauge cluster is still the turbo auto gauge cluster.. also I'm running the 1jz auto ecu. The Trans shifts fine and kicks down like it should. Now I didn't know there was a...
I'm having a few issues.. I have a 1jz auto out of a soarer. I have it up and running/driving. My tach is not correct, says red line is 3400 rpm. Also when I shift front park to neutral it dies also from drive to neutral it dies.. I can't seam.to figure this out. I have checked and rechecked the...
I have not found the source of the tapping yet. It's not a rod, or valve issue. The sound is the loudest at the timing cover backing plate. Cam caps are quite, middle and lower part of the bock sound great. On cold start and at operating temp. I'm at a loss, have not pulled cam gears off yet to...
I have a 1j mk3. Just go it running. After building temp I get a rattle in the top passenger side. Can't decide where it's coming from. Already changed the tensioner pulley bearing. If you you tube 1jz rattle you will fine a stock soared with the same sound. It's not rpm dependant. If I give it...
Figured it out. My temp wire was not hooked up to ground.the new map sensor completed the circuit for the check engine light to function. All gauges work. Now to change the speed sensor on the auto to a mechanical sending unit and get a longer cable. Oh and the trial and error on the drive shaft.
Also the only part of the harness I extended was for the fuel and gauges. I did not cut the ecu harness. It fits in its factory location just fine. Looks like crap under the hood be never the less it works. 1jz auto non vvti
Dumb question, do you have the igniter bolted down, the head ground and block ground hooked up? Things I did to get mine to run were, jump the fuel pump, straight 12v. Also had to run my own starter wire from the chassis side of the harness to the switched 12v on the starter. Info I used to wire...
so if im understanding this. the engine will crank just fine but wont fire? if this is the case are you sure you have a good map sensor? mine would not run with out the throttle slightly opened when i was missing my map.
