I know your steering system is already finished but converting your hydraulic system with an electrically assisted column from a toyota yaris would be pretty easy with the skills you have. I helped a buddy with a yaris steering conversion to his 94 toyota mini truck. Works great.
Three grand is too much for a 7m supra with a bhg UNLESS the body is great with good paint and the interior is complete and in good condition. Even then I wouldn't pay more than 2000-2500. No telling how long the po drove the car in the bhg condition. You could do the repair and then get rod...
Yeah, they are just stainless (matt finish) metric M10 allen head bolts. Had some laying around at work but they can be bought here https://www.boltdepot.com/

Not very detailed because I lose patients taking pics while building
Haven't dynoed it yet. Only had 2 shakedown runs so far. I'm running a w58 behind the motor and others that performed the swap with a manual trans have put down around 220-230 to the wheels. Turns out the ecu senses issues with the auto trans being absent and pulls timing. There's a guy in...
This supra has the iron centerplate but I have used aluminum center plated w58'S in my truck and my buddies 1uz swapped ma70. They have held up to the 250hp so far.
Just drove the car for the first time today.

Sounds awesome man. If anyone can do it, I believe it would be you. I've finished four 1uz swaps with w series trans and they have all held up. I'll see if this w58 will survive with over 300 ft/lbs torque plus traction.
LOL!. I feel you right there. I'm 46 and hurt like hell after a day of turning wrenches. I have my supra, mr2 and starlet to complete and then I'm done building cars. Hopefully I'll be done in 2 more years then it'll just be maintenance of my babies.
The direction of both waternecks are fine. Similar to the 1st gen 1uz's. We use ls400 lower rad hose on the passenger side lower and sc400 upper hoses. They work fine with the ma70 radiator. Just need 1.5"-1.25" rad hose reducers.
Project is still going on. The end of 2015 was pretty good as 1uz VVTi motors were falling out of the sky into our local pick n pulls. They would typical end up like this one we found.
Front end collisions. People are destroying these cars by running into crap. This is one of the five V8 VVTi...
