So my security light in the dash was flashing and my headlights popped up and started flashing also, ever since this happened the car will not star. Is there any way to reset this? I do have an aftermarket radio in it as well could this be further stalling my problem, thoughts and opinions please.
I'm not trying to thread jack at all but mine does the same thing, it sounded like detonation or a valve rattle but it only does it when warmed up and under load. I will definitely be checking the cam clearances tho and the cam gears and timing belt tension. It runs like total crap and has less...
They are all non vvti and I have a turbo block also, I had heard the heads and pistons on the non vvti were the same. I am uncertain on all of this as I am new to 2jz engine group
I figured I would need to swap pistons and value and I was going to do a complete rebuild, other than those things are there any other differences between the two
I recently came across a pretty unbeatable deal on a rolling chassis and three 2jzge engines I have a nice mk3 already and planned on doing the 2j swap but I'm not finding alot of info on convert the GE to a GTE can someone please help me out on this one
I'm getting a bad rattle from the engine at about 2500 rpm and up. Oil pressure Is good and it runs fairly smooth at idle. I've got a code 52 but that's it, it seems to be more prominent under higher boost levels. It sounds like valves any one else experienced this
If you want to try it I actually have this exact head gasket still in the plastic, I bought the victor reinz head kit and just didn't use the head gasket. If you are running na this gasket will last you a good long while
Thanks guys, after running all new intercooler piping the leak was still there and getting worse. I found that after all that my bov was the culprit. As the turbo would spool the bov would open letting all my boost go, I replaced it with a better quality one and now I'm pushing 8 to 10 psi just...
Check also the timing, if your timing belt is even a tooth of two off it could be why your seeing low compression. If you awe of time your valves are opening prematurely letting the compression go before your piston reaches tdc. I find it very doubtful your mhg is leaking, unless it was not...
I have a boost controler in it, that's the strange part. I went ahead and put the washers under the waste Gate bolts and I'm getting around 10 psi now that I have tightened the spring up a bit
I installed an after market boost controler and when I turn it down I can make less boost but even when turned all the way up I can only make 6 psi, should I put washers under my wastegate? Your thoughts please
