Ehh, these cars are not so bad on the autox course. I originally built my N/A to do some light competition in STX. Good luck with your build, looks like you're definitely gonna have fun with it!
Looking pristine Doat! The new lip looks great.
My Supra mod addiction continues....I switched out my 17" RPF1s to an 18" set. This will make some room for that $300 BBK upgrade as see in that one thread that I've been secretly lurking in...
Also I had my buddy design a door decal...
Got a set of Bomex mirrors from a member on here (great guy to do business with!) stripped them down, restored and replaced the mirror mechanism, new well nuts and hardware, a little bit of bondo and fiberglass work (the mirrors came in great condition but I'm overly critical haha) paint and...
I didn't say v12s are competitive, but they are just fine for street use. I don't think the op is looking for a Nationals level tire. I really like the Michelin PSS, and I've been wanting to try the Bridgestone RE-11A as I've run the RE-01R on my mr-s and mr2 turbo. Alas OP, if your just looking...
Hankook V12s, good grip if all you're looking for is a street tire. There are also Continental DW and Michelin pilot super sports, if you want to spend some more money for a higher tier street tire.
Thanks! I use a Canon 50D w/Tamron 17-50mm lens, but the photo with the new muffler was taken with an iphone lol
Today I took the targo off for the first time in a long time. It was a nice day so the fiancee' and I went out for some shopping. Ran into this really, and I mean really nice...
In an effort to quiet down my car I replaced my muffler with the biggest Apexi canister and the longest resonator I could fit. The result is a significantly quieter interior and very minimal drone. I wish I could have kept the twin tip look, but the car was just too loud for daily'ing...
Haha you got the turbo motor so I'm still way behind the power curve!
I'm running a square setup: 17x9 et35 on 245/45/17. The widest wheel size I can go in STX
Labor of love! I echo your feelings on the eibach/tokico combo. I switched over to BC coilovers and it was dramatic difference. Good luck with the next phase of your build!
Mookeh made a knock off of the C's shifter or something like that for the Mkiii supra. I've seen this brand originally marketed towards starion owners in the past. Mixed bag of reviews on a buncha different parts. It may look and sound attractive, but suspension mods are an area where the...
I'm interested in the Lotus Elite, I hope it's a track car! Can't wait to see the show, good luck!
Edit....wait, Shin Yoshikawa, the cut away pencil artist!? Damn, now I'm excited!!
Looking to pull the trigger on a set of 18x8.5 et30 and 18x9.5 et25 - Front/Rear. I know if I run a 245/40 in the front I'll be fine, but I wanna run 255/40 in the rear. I'm worried the rear might poke too far or rub hard on the fenders? I'm currently on a square setup - 17x9 et 35 on 245/45 -...
Man your setup sounds great! I'm sold on the hushpower resonator. My current exhaust is way too loud. I think I'm going to weld one up to help bring down the noise. Ideally, I'd want mine to sound similar to yours, but I don't think I can afford to build a brand new exhaust system haha. Good work!
Your Supra looks like it jumped right out of an 80's brochure! I really like reading restoration and preservation build threads like these over high HP builds, good work!
I'm a klutz, so 94 ft-lbs up front and 133 in the rear as per the TSRM. I did the fronts with a breaker bar, and the passenger side (clunky side) was loose. I tightened it and it kinda made a difference. I will go back and tighten with a torque wrench both front and rear this weekend to the...
