That removes a good $1300 off the price tag.
Me and my uncle decided on making a custom exhaust so that drops another 600 from the tag.

One is a engine swapped rebuilt 7mgte with no engine harness and a few other electronics, no radiator, no intercooler, no oil cooler.

For a while now i've been trying to figure out if this could be done.
pretty much, i would go on ebay to do a price check for an engine of my liking (whether it be a 1jz or 2jz) and see that a majority of the engines posted has ECU's but are of the A/T type.

well i guess the best i can do is ride with the GE for a while and go GE-t because this engine is pretty good and has 98k on it. i'd go with a swap but i'd feel like im throwing away gold.

nah, i believe you're right, although im going by the 7mge-t setup, but im thinking the same rules apply.
also you think installing the 2jz-gte pistons on a 2jzge would also help the compression ratio? of course thats only if they have different pistons like the 7m engines.

and yea the build is something i decided to consider. i thought i didnt want to have to worry about BHG, so why not buy a ge, run with it n/a for a while then boost.
