I just installed this setup on my soarer and everything bolted up perfect but my wheel (17x8 +35) would not clear the spokes.does anyone know if na mkiv fronts will clear? Or maybe sawblades with a 5mm spacer?
Got the single setup running. misfire seems as if it was due to a faulty map sensor.boosting off wastegate pressure in the video.

So since I got the car the twins have been puffing some oil...good excuse to go single lol.
ended up getting this:
Garrett Airesearch T04
T4 flange
.81 hotside
.60 compressor housing
Journal bearing
single scroll
Just a simple laggy turbo lol.
also picked up an ebay manifold...
Oh isee.
i was referring to this quote:
"I'd use German Castrol 0W-30 (European Formula, says made in Germany on the back label). It's the only true synthetic (Grp IV PAO) Castrol sells in the US - that includes the 5W-40 you are referring to. It's viscosity hot is very close to a 40W."...
by German castrol do you mean the 0W 30 synthetic?
because i remember in a previous thread you mentioned that the 5W 40 I use is also a German formula.
Lol i got freaked out because I could only find one bottle of the old syntec on the shelves.
I just saw the new castrol today too (late).
The original one says something like "superior European formula blended in the U.s." on the back. But I believe the new one doesn't. Any difference in this stuff?
@ mk3_7m
Yea i was surprised at that too.imo nothing beats coilovers as far as bang for buck. the car looks better and the steering feels much more connected now.

Never made a build thread before but here goes.
I originally had a brown 87 hardtop turbo MKIII which was my first car. After years of spending money and busting my knuckles learning the ins and outs I had finally hit a dead end in my project. The car was due for a 1jz swap that never came due...
had a brain fart there for a moment...it's more simple than i thought.
finally got a pdf of the manual and actually looked at some of the installation notes.
white is pressure signal in to the afc unit, and then yellow is pressure signal out.
brown/black ground wires don't get spliced into...
