Check it out, quality shave and color change...Body work is finished!

Been super busy lately, but now that the weather's improved I've spent a bit more time on the Supra. Took off the Bomex side skirts and rear bumper and replaced with stock pieces. I like it better now...

Well, if you just count the items I've used, and not the items I bought to brainstorm with, I'm probably at around $50-$75.

I thought I'd post a few pics of the work so far to keep myself motivated. Progress is slow due to my work schedule and I haven't had time to sit and work on these for quite a while... These LED housings are designed to do three things: 1. Hold an extra layer of plastic that diffuses the...

I like the Driftmotion exhaust quite a bit. Its a surprising increase in power, especially in the higher rpms. I'm not such a big fan of the sound (way too loud) but it comes with an insert to muffle it so I'll probably try that, and the size of the tailpipe tip is obnoxiously large. I may just...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I too have days where I'm not sure about the shaved look, but overall I am happy with it. I have decided to get rid of the body kit though. The purpose of the shaving was to clean things up and as much as I love the look of that kit on other members' cars it just...

Seems like the rings are what everyone's mostly interested in. Easily found on superbrightleds website.

So today I finished installing the 3" stainless steel exhaust and downpipe I got from Driftmotion. Wow what a difference! Power and sound are much improved! Still working on those taillights in my scarce spare time...

I'd be up for that ;) I think I'm gonna start soldering tomorrow actually. I've been agonizing over the design details, worrying that I'll change my mind after it's too late or something. But I've finally got my design (BTW, no circles) and I'm ready to get started!

Thanks! So about a year ago I pulled some projector headlight housings from a vehicle at the junkyard for a potential low-rise headlight alteration. Today I was working on the bump stops on my headlights because they close too low in the bumper and I thought I'd see how the projectors look...

Thanks for the kind words. I've been trying to decide what material to use as a backer on which to mount my LEDs. I wanted something durable, thin enough to fit inside the "frame" that the lens glues to, and also a material that I can shape to exactly match the curvature of the lens itself. I...

Hey all, Haven't been active in a while...I lost the motivation for quite a while. Tonight I decided to start tinkering with the LED taillights again.... What do you think?

My buddy called about the harness...we went and looked at it and it was really torn up. We ended up just remaking our own. My friend now has the grey shell with plans to build it up again (he's owned nearly a dozen supras over the years), so that should make everyone on here happy :)

Speedo's inaccurate after turbo engine swap

Its not my daily driver anymore, it's just for pleasure driving. I don't expect to do too much long distance trips. I do want it to have lots of power at low speeds, so it sounds like the 4.30 is the way to go. I was just surprised when we finished the swap, first and second gear felt so...

Speedo's inaccurate after turbo engine swap

Actually, the tach seems to work just fine. After doing some reading, it seems that many people enjoy the 4.30 for low end power, but I also read that a turbo would do best with taller gears in order to build more boost. Any thoughts on this?

Speedo's inaccurate after turbo engine swap

I'd rather just change the drive gear, but I don't know which to get. And do I need to change gauge clusters to turbo for the different speedometer markings?

Speedo's inaccurate after turbo engine swap

Hello all, I just finished swapping a 1989 7mgte and r154 tranny into my 1988 Supra N/A chassis. Right now I still have the N/A gauge cluster and my N/A differential (LSD). My speedometer reads 10 mph faster than my true speed at about 50 mph. I researched and found some posts about...
