    1JZ bottleneck found

Hi guys, I've never read about this so maybe this could be new to you. I was just replacing the rubber hoses that connect the T-Intake pipe with the turbo intake pipes. The stock hose is a bilayer hose and with time passing by the inner layer caved in, because of the vacuum in this area...

    ARC Induction box

ARC made some for JZA70 but they are discontinued now. because of the thin aluminium material it will give you an incomparable intake sound. I have one for sale if someone is interessted.

    1jz catalytic converter length

Yes, they have a different lenght. MA70 is 280mm and JZA70 is 315mm.

can a compression test be done w/ the engine out of the car?

For a proper compression check, the engine must be at operation temperature! The numbers from a cold engine are often useless.

    Injector question

I also have a set for sale, but I'm from Germany. So they are USD 200 shipped without insurance, add $20 for insurance. It's not a bargain, but I've seen some going for much more in the us.

    Injector question

You still need the resistor pack. But I think JDM 2JZ 440s are much better, expecially since you don't need a top feed fuel rail.

    noob question

If you're going for that much power, it's best to get a triple-plate clutch. Carbon is still very drivable. Only that will last like a normal clutch.

    Anybody heard of G-Zone?

It's similar to the Blitz Access and Mine's VX-ROM ECUs. Normaly it's programmed for raised boost on stock twins, exhaust, air filter, intercooler. It is possible to rewrite it at G-Zone, so if the engine is heavily tuned, the ECU could be reprogrammed to that new specs.

What's a good aftermarket radiator to go with a 1jz

Since the oil ist watercooled also. It is important to have a working radiator. Koyo is the best for hydrofan setup. But decide on yourself, if you take the small copper radiator or the bigger alumi-radiator.

getting 1jz to work on 2jz injectors

At how much boost do you hit FC? The 2JZ trick will just raise FC, not eliminate it.

    simple fuel cut question

I was asking about fuel/boost cut. But if someone else likes to know. The MAP Sensor voltage will be capped with the FCD and the engine will go lean, when boosting to much... So using a FCD is senseless without a F-Con. Even with a S-AFC, you don't need it.

    simple fuel cut question

I have searched a little but didn't find this. When you install a fcd or a bcc on 1JZ, do you need to adjust fuel above fuel cut, like with the 7M?

    Pure HKS 1j sickness

It is the T3 Sports Turbine Kit... (And mine now :biglaugh: ) There is a big GT2530 TwinTurbo Kit, but not a Sports Turbine. Having a pic attached. Big stuff... Also there was a TD05 TwinTurbo Kit, T300S and a GT3040 Turbo Kit, all from HKS.

    1JZ-GTE vvti

When you swap the 1JZ VVT-i you will need a complete standalone EMS at least. The stock ECU needs all the sensors for the traction control. So it's difficult to swap a VVT-i engine in a car without traction control. I thought about it too, but skipped. Normal 1JZ is just fine for me. Buy a...
