supposedly there is a guy up in loveland that can do rebuild them and replace the ceramic blades with steel. think he was one of the guys that worked at TEC in golden before the owner died.
there is a bit of a difference between a 7mge and a 7mgte other than one having a turbo. the gte block has oil squirters that cool and lube the bottom of the pistons and the pistons are dished so to lower the compression ratio. oddly enough there is no difference in the heads other than the cams...
you should have a wire with 12 volts on it with the key on and a wire that goes to the igniter. the wire going to the igniter isn't exactly a ground wire but does provide a path for current to flow. when that current flow stops is when you get spark. http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h39.pdf has...
how good is your ground from the engine head to the body or to the battery? it needs to be a fairly heavy wire, at least a 10 gauge or better an 8, and the point where it attaches to the body needs to be clean and paint free.
someone who has gotten a chaser front cut will have to confirm this. i can not find any evidence looking through the online epc that a chaser had a boost gauge unless it is part of the multi display. looking through my soarer diagram i can't find any evidence that those have a boost gauge either...
