On my third R154 tailshaft seal

Did your leak problem get resolved? I also have a leak. It started around the same time I got a 1-piece aluminum driveshaft. I replace the seal once but it still leaks. I read some posts where maybe the aluminum driveshaft might have a slightly small yolk diameter. Anyone else notice a leak...

Do Supra air filters restrict air flow when used with a Lexus AFM

I am wondering if air flow is restricted if a Lexus AFM is used with air filters whose adapters are not equal in area to the Lexus AFM honeycomb area? The whole purpose in going with the Lexus AFM is greater air flow and does this area mismatch negate some of this benefit? Most supra air...

    Lightened lower control arms

I have a extra set of front lower control arms I am thinking about lightening by making them swiss cheese (drilling lots of holes in them to remove metal). Anyone have any words of wisdom on the safety of this? The lower control arms seem to be over-engineered with their mass and weight.

    I smell a scam.........

I don't think this is a scam. Anyone listing at that price will not get quick response. I get scams in my Craigslist all the time for mint, heavily modded MKIVs with 700 hp that are listed for $6,000 (yea, right, they normally sell for $40,000). Catch is that they are all located overseas and...

Offset inserts are no doubt the best way to go but they are unobtainium. If you know of a source, let us know.

Nope, only driven to bed the pads. Initial impression is pedal feel is good, close to stock. I was worried that pedal travel would be too long with the new multi-piston calipers but it feels good. As to braking power, that will have to wait until next spring at the track.

Yes brake ducts on the front rotors. Pic below shows front of car with duct openings. Two on passenger side are for brake rotor and power steering cooler, opening on drivers fog light area is for oil cooler. Other brake rotor duct is hard to see, its black and where the stock PS cooler would...

Supra scripts were from eBay, do a search on supra brake decals. Paint was Duplicolor enamel caliper paint kit.

The MKIV rear brakes are almost bolt-on. Two modifications needed: 1. Drill out the caliper bracket mounting holes to hold a M12 bolt 2. Shim the MKIV rotors with a strip of sheet metal Both of these are very easy to do. A link to a good write-up of the modification is at...

    BBK done

Finally got my BBK installation complete. Thanks to Doward for nice front BBK, a little grinding on the front spindles but otherwise a good fit. MKIVs on the rear. Driftmotion brake lines up front, StopTech Lexus LS400 lines in the rear, Porterfield R4 pads all around, Motul 600 DOT 4 fluid...

    Antenna replacement?

I just replaced mine with a universal fit power antenna from O'Reilly's Auto Parts. Easy install, some wiring required. Cost = $70 I like the clean look of fully retracted antenna when the car is off.

Here's mine, home made, main purpose is track use, NASCAR air dam style.

    BBK bias discussion

I have the Doward fronts and MKIV rears (haven't installed yet though). What happens to the percentages if you stagger the brake pades - go with Porterfield R4s on the front and R4Ss on the rears?
