Finally put my amp and subs back in the car after taking it out for the swap, not that I use it much since turbo spool and blow off has most of my attention :)
Hey guys, didnt feel the need to start an entire new thread for the problem Im having.
Long story short about 200 miles after I finished my 1J swap my clutch started slipping once I hit full boost (10psi on stock everything/single turbo). Im using the W58 that was originally in my car...
Double check on your coolant temp sensor. Though it was running fine for a few days before, if it happened to come loose that will cause no start. Not that that ever happened to me :biglaugh:
Check for hairline cracks down the coils, its fairly common if you have the stock ones. Could be losing spark if it arcs up the cracks. On my engine I have my NGK plugs gapped to .27 so that could be something to test too. I used to miss a lot at idle and at crusing speed (1900-2300rpm) because...
I have a ton of pictures of out cars in racing form (Minolta/Dunlop/Rally) but there's nothing better than seeing them in action, on video, during their prime time. Great video!
Haven't dropped by in a while so I apologize. But while I was gone I was kept busy and learned quite a lot. I finally tore out the old dying heart in the beast and gave it new life in the form of a nice healthy 1jz :biglaugh:. Though not without faults over the 3 months it took (Beginning of...
Thats the iginition switch. I took it out and even apart and it had no wear on it or it in. Contact points on the inside looked new, cleaned them anyway since it was apart.
For a few weeks now I've been having a strange problem with my ignition. It started one day when I went to get out of my car and after pulling the keys out I realized the car was still in accessory mode, as if the keys were still in it. I put the keys back in and turned them to "on" then pulled...
Anyone know any companies that still make the oem spec N/A midpipe? I really dont want to use the pacesetters as Ive heard more bad about them than good. While I could have a shop fab them for me it would just make life easier if there is anyone who still makes them.
Definitely have a leak somewhere in your brake system like Blacklash said. Check the T connector where they split to each rear wheel. Its in between the diff and gas tank, theyre pretty easy to check and see if you have any leaks. As far as the PS check the high pressure line. Mine was leaking...
Not at all which is why Im utterly lost at why I'm getting 12mpg. Mine isn't connected to anything and one of the vacuum line connectors on it is broken anyway. As far as I know its for emissions. (I think it connects to the charcoal canister but I'm not sure since I removed mine) Though someone...
