time for another good idea vs. bad idea...

I suppose the only real way to check for flatness is having the proper tools...machine shops will have. I would expect you can call a shop and ask if they can check for flatness and recommend machining or not. I doubt there is a easy way to do it at home when you're measuring thousands of a...

Wasnt me, just a parts car I bought with no engine. I know it drove 'fine' before. I am just hopin the spindle isnt jacked up. Yeah like you said...we'll see when I get it driving and the tire wear shows.

lb is a force. It is the bastardized english system that designates lbf and lbm.

    Transmission pan bolt help

Wait were you talkin about casing? Miss read. I already did and stripped one or two. My Tacoma has a 30-40LE (ASIN code for A340x). They got substantially loose, so I left them alone and hoped the sealant did the job. I had to do that stupid gasket 3 times cause the sway bar kept interfering...

    Transmission pan bolt help

---EDIT....whoops...thought the casing was in discussion...--- Not to be nit-picky but in/lb is improper units. I know everyone knows what you mean, but it is in•lb. ft•lb...etc force times distance, not divided by.

ffim available in the near future?

Did you do any flow analysis in the modeling program? While the runners may 'flow' the same, I highly doubt (due to constant diameter and flat end) that each cylinder will be receiving the same air pressure. Comments, Jack? PS I go by threaded mode so I dont know if this was asked prior.

    bent UCA...wtf?

Yeah, I agree IJ. It had to have been curbed hard or something. Here they are. And sparkplug, thanks for the tire FYI... car wont be driven for AT LEAST a few months... Bent...driver side... Passenger side...

    bent UCA...wtf?

So yeah this is kinda lame but funny.... So I have this IFS....how the hell you bent a UCA? I will put up a photo later or early tomorrow. For a short description, the back side of the aluminum upper is bent inward to the center of the chassis, bolt and arm. The bolt will need to be cut to be...

    my 77 Celica

Due to me being a complete idiot lol, I decided to just drop the front suspension so it will make the last of the cutting easier. A few photo's... That seat is a MA70 power front driver seat. Pretty sweet seat. I am going to try and get it in the car, but I am afraid it may be straight up too...

    BBK bias discussion

Yeah you make more heat energy per time, or the capability to....but the total amount of heat energy will be the same. You are still going from velocity one to velocity two so the energy converted to heat due to kinetic motion is the same weather you have larger rotors or smaller rotors.

    My project/Ride (miami)

Wow thats a lot of work. Nice job. THose stock Cressida spindles have a lot of camber built into them (well with respect to shock mount angle). Got it running? Surely not far away...

    Camber adjustment .....

Next week? WHat-you dont know how much they cost before you bought them?

The larger rotor will also dissapate heat better...thats probably one of the big things.

    BBK bias discussion

You sure? So lets give another example...just with 500 psi. 500psi goes to the front. THe rear gets 400+(.3•500) = 550psi Does that make sense? By your statement, for pressures between 400 and about 571psi, the rear brakes will get MORE pressure than the MC is supplying. You sure about...
