so you boosted it a couple times before you drove it back to your place? you may have loosened up an intercooler pipe. but other than a possible intercooler pipe blowing off, your afm sounds like the culprit. and you would "fiddle" with the afm first because a clear symptom of a bad afm...

well, the intercooler was just to get the car running to ship it. and i just noticed how the incredibly large intercooler was affecting the spool time, but don't want to go so small in the sizing of the intercooler that all of a sudden im losing cooling efficiency for the amount of air flowing...

i had the same problem... i had you mount the TPS from the wrong car for me lol... it just required quite a bit of tweaking and also tweaking the butterfly a little to get it to read right.... lol.. need to fix that soon hah

ill see if i can swing by servco toyota here to take a pic when they are open, the different quality between the two different toyota filters was discussed by a few guys down here and they had only run ones that were japan produced. but each service station chooses to keep in stock certain types...

ive seen several ct-26 (stock, non upgraded) with large cracks around the wastegate dump opening and lots without.. extending past the flap gate..... just think of how much more power it takes to get the same pressure and maybe less spool if your always flowing some exhaust through it... plus if...

make sure to open the wastegate. make sure all the carbon is cleaned off of it and check for anything that looks like a crack, if the turbo had seen a lot of use, its likely to be cracked and no good unless you have someone that can weld it and patch it back to normal.

i see what you did there. but its good to know about the need to burn off certain chemicals that make their way to the oil, IE gas and fumes from blowby, water from sitting, humidity creeping its way in, etc. i do know quite a few mkiv owners here that will let their car sit for more than 3-4...
