Clueless idiot here ;)
Ugh, that oil incident brings back memories. You'd think someone in my biz would keep an eye on gauges but I sure failed that night. Ran it on the highway about 8 miles sans lube. Only when it shut off did I realized something was wrong and the engine could not be...
The COR controls the fuel pump not injector power. Fuel Cut is a firmware derived function based on airflow and is implemented by directly halting fuel injection. The COR is not involved. The FC wire controlling one coil of the COR is used to prevent fueling upon engine stoppage. It's there in...
If I understand your question correctly the answer is yes. The stock oil pressure sender is a strange animal compared to most. Its signal is not a simple switch for pressure/no pressure but a pulse train of varying duty cycle. The ECU uses this to slightly adjust idle speed based on oil...
What Nick said. No feedback signal to the ECU on IGf. Need spark first so work on that. Once the CPS is verified you can pull and spin it by hand to save wear and tear on the battery/starter.
Both ends of the knock sensor shielding should not be grounded. One end only. Stock, it's done at the intake manifold but grounding at the ECU is also OK. Not that I think it's your problem. Just sayin'.
It depends on the system. In 25 years of owning and maintaining my Supra I never once had to burp it and a look at the cooling system should make the reason for that obvious. Other cars (my Delorean is a good example) must not only be burped but often use a full time bleeder line. Again, a look...
^ What he said. The purpose of the valve is to block coolant flow to the core (although even when closed it's designed to allow a tiny bit through) when the climate control system is set to 65 degrees. Based on tests I did years ago not having it will cost you around 10 degrees of cooling...
