Yeah i talked to champion toyota about the mr2 soild buckets. it would be roughly $325 dollars for 24 soild buckets.
He say some people actually take the clearances then have a machine shop machine the valve seats accordingly, so that they can run buckets that are all the same size... crazy...

I have a 1.5jz im building and i am currently setting the valve lash.
I had to buy about six 2jz shims and 1 2jz bucket because i lost one. (i still blame the machine shop)
i noticed that all the shims seem to snap in tight into the bucket. except 2 or 3.

when starting from a stop try the following. should make life easier for now.
rev a little higher that normal. like 1800.
then let the rpms drop as you slip it ALITTLE into full engagement. Alittle as in dont slip it for long. get it in gear and move on.
