I apologize in advance if this is posted in the wrong section. I currently drive a tired 89 supra N/A. I was planning on selling it until I checked out a car today. I found a rust free 89 Turbo auto identical to mine, but it has a spun bearing. He wants 1200 for the car plus an extra 7m-gte...
Awesome response! And I should have known. Well, the 240 is pretty much ruled out. S14's I'm just going to assume are far out of my budget. The s13 might be a possibility but I highly doubt I'll be able to find one DD worthy. So that leaves the Supra vs. The miata. While this thread...
Thank you. That saved me a whole lot of thinking and planning. I'm not really looking to build the car I buy though. Honestly it's just a fun daily. I think what everybody has been trying to tell me is that I need to drive a Honda and keep a supra to build in the garage which is what...
Thanks for the quick feedback guys. You're right. The Supra community is incredible. Honestly though, the reason I don't want a Honda is because I love RWD. I've literally grown up with it. I also passionately despise FWD in anything but a snow storm, actually....nevermind. I love...
Well, I think the time has come to let my mkiii go. With a $2500 budget, I don't have many options, so I came to the trusty forums for advice.
Here's the background, I bought an 89 NA 5 speed stock at age 15 for my first car and you could say she was rough. After 3 years and plenty of...
I'm with this guy on pulling the plugs. Believe it or not I had a noise develop that almost sounded like an exhaust tick. One day the plug popped out and almost wrecked the threads. I never thought to check their torque. My noise disappeared after tightening all the plugs though
Hey guys. I have a stock NA 89 5 speed basically stock on 93 octane. I'm running a ghetto/leaky test pipe, bosche wires and NGK irridiums. Other than that its totally stock. Every now and then if I get on it a little and run it into the 5-5.5k rpm range i can hear an occasional pop with the...
Exactly the answer to what I was wondering. Just for clarification I'm assuming that you're talking about the Eibach lowering springs that drop it 1.5" in the front and 1 in the rear? Or does Eibach make OEM replacements? And does anyone have any idea on how 91-92 springs would do being an inch...
Haha thanks. Yeah I might have to price compare the tokicos vs. The KYB's. I drive some nasty Rockford IL. roads and I'd had to start messing up components because I wanted to lower it an inch or so. I think I'm going to be very happy when this is done from the sounds of it.
