I have a Mishimoto, and I know they used to have fitment issues but mine went in smoothly. The fan never comes close to hitting the radiator, and I bought mine for 250 off of ebay. I've had mine for almost a year and I have had no issues with over heating.
There's one for sale on my local craigslist. It's an 88 with 220k and the guys asking a grand for it. He only has one pic of it, but it looks to be a targa.
I agree with suprahero, there aren't many other cars out there with that type of reputation. I hope that once I am done with grad school that I can build my supra into one like yours or like others on this site. Plus, I'm sure this has been mentioned before but Mk3 Supra's are a thinning herd...
45 that's crazy! When I first got my supra I was the only one that I knew of. Over the last month, I've seen two more pop up. I'm hoping to find a meet this summer to attend.
There's a guy I know that lives in my area that has one with the trd supercharger and it sounds awesome. I'm planning on buyin one, one day with the supercharger. Best of luck with it!
There's not really a huge weight difference between them. Our supra's just beat the 3000gt's in weight by about 250 pounds or so. Especially if it was a vr4 it weighs even more with the awd, turbos, and etc. I used to own a fwd 3000gt and I have to say it was like a tank.
Checked my plugs today, while replacing the spark plug wires with NGK blue wires. Since I was working on it, I ripped out the gallery cover and placed oil drain plug gaskets on the bolts to stop the slight oil leak I had.
My 87 has the door guards, and I had no idea they put them on the arches as well. Also I do agree with the dirt comment, because my car had one of them missing and the paint under there was all chipped up and looked like someone took sandpaper to the edge of the door.
Reading this thread has made me realize how busy this forum used to be. I don't post much on here, just mostly look around, the reason for that is because lot of the questions I have were already answered. I also have an issue finding fellow mk3 owners near me, I have talked to a couple on here...
I loved that video, I also liked the Initial D song in the beginning. I hope to go to SIV one year, it just sucks being so far away in NY. Congrats to all the winners!
