Another Custom 3.58 R&P LSD Rebuild

Where are you picking up the 3.58 r&p? Is it the driftmotion kit? I need to get a 3.58 in mine before long

    GM trans adapter

I picked up an ati turbo to 7m converter from ati this winter. its expensive at $1250, but worth it. one of the best converters on the market. 9" fuel and blown, they got the stall setup very well to my application. I am running ati's gm adapter kit, so it has their flexplate which makes the...

    R154 Gurus needed!

Never once had an issue with any of the "built" parts from DM or marlin. Ive built a couple myself, and have had many built r154's in and out of here. is this a supra shop or something else?

    350 swap

Best bet is to fabricate your own motor mounts and trans mounts. id personally switch to a th350 to simplify the swap. You are probably going to have a difficult time finiding an adapter kit to mate an r154 to a 350 engine. you could probably somehow use an ati adapter plate that you normally...

Request - crank timing pulley measurement

Just from first look of that sensor im guessing it is going to be a bit too large. also for a VR sensor you want a sine wave output so you will need to have the teeth be more of a triangle rather than a square, the square tooth wheels are for hall sensors and square wave signals. EDIT: I guess...

Request - crank timing pulley measurement

It is actually a magnet. both him and I are running similar setups. I got my trigger wheel from him and the rear lower timing cover predrilled and tapped for the crank hall sensor. I had to do a few modifications to make that setup work. I also wanted my cam pickup sensor to be hidden so I put...

Crank pully and crank nose F'ed

So, I am unsure if the issue is the same as I had, but ill throw what i did into the mix. About a year and a half ago, I noticed my crank bolt was hand tight, i tightened it, and the crank was wobbley as fuck (impact didn't have enough air flow last time i put the bolt on), so I pulled the...

    Preferred diff ratio?

I will also add, the gear that works best will depend on your application, turbo size, how the power comes in, where it drops off at, and most of all what you are using the car for, etc. My power is mostly up top btw... This doesn't mean its the perfect gear for everyone. and opinion is valid...

    Preferred diff ratio?

I also like to be able to use 1st gear. go ahead and argue about opinions. I will bet you anything my time slip will tell you that in my application the 3.73 gear is the better gear of the two. Want to gamble on that? I have both, and will be willing to swap em out at the track in the spring, if...

    Preferred diff ratio?

I have both a 3.90 and a 3.73, have also owned the 4.10 or 4.30 whatever the hell was in the n/a cars. My favorite is the 3.73 as it loads the engine up better imo. It is also deep enough to get out of the hole well. I can tell a major difference going from the 3.90 to the 3.73. id like to swap...

Trying to get 500RWTQ holding on stock pressure plate

cant say it will hold for sure, but ive always had good luck with act xtreme clutches. i love them, and will always buy them for my cars besides my white one which i am going twin or triple disc in (havent decided yet). I would only do sprung, unsprung clutches are for track cars only imo, and...

    7mgte reliability

Do you have rings on? what do you mean by loose/tight fit? that question is vague. the sideskirts on some of the pistons were short that it would cause a bit of slap at idle, but its not always going to mean its going to make noise because they're shorter.

    7mgte reliability

I'm not disagreeing when I say this, but my wiseco's are quieter than the factory cast pistons in all 3 of my engines that have had them vs my factory engine, and others I've heard. I know there was a brand out there that had shorter skirts (je or cp iirc) and they made some noise upon startup...
