One thing you may want to look at is grounding - I was recently having issues with poor idling and with the engine dying at low/idle rpm's. Turned out to be an issue with insufficient grounding. Does the new coil-pack set-up have a ground strap equivalent to the one on the original coil packs?

I don't know if you've checked this or not but - what kind of plugs are you using? Are they in good condition? ND or NGK plugs seem to work best (I got rid of a persistent idle miss by switching to NGK a couple of years ago, based on information I found in a thread here). I haven't done this mod...

They do use a lot of English, when it is easier/more convenient. The only other Supra ECU I have personally seen (and I have it in my hands atm) is the N/A ECU that supposedly came from my car (it's a yellow plug unit though, so not sure). The only differences I see, besides the GE/GTE stuff...

I have a JDM ecu, and it has no speed governor (I've been up to ~140 mph). It also seems to have no boost cut or rev limiter, likey due to what appears to be a TechTom chip installed, and this may have bypassed any speed limiter as well. :dunno: It's been running fine on 92/93 octane for ~5...

I never could find one online when I last was looking, ended up just buying one new from Toyota, was ~$36 at the time iirc(been a couple of years though).

Looks like what you're missing is this: It's part of the heater control, controls the flow of water into the heater core. You'd also likely need the two hoses. Not sure of the p/n, don't have my EPC working atm. Hope that helps a bit. There's also a vsv mounted there, but you can't...

That's what I had concluded after looking at it further - but I'm still uncertain how the port on the TB connects with the canister, without the BVSV. Surely it wouldn't have connected straight to the TB, would it? Also, the engine-top metal piping seems to be the same - there must be/have...

if this is the BVSV shown, then I really need to find out how the cannister connects in the JDM set-up, as I don't have the one on the thermostat neck. Since there is no EGR on the JDM engines, would the canister be connected directly to the VSV under the intake manifold? (Not really sure...

Which BVSV is that diagram showing? The one that mounts under the intake? Anyone have a diagram, or link to one, showing how the JDM cannister connects (assuming it is different from the USDM)? On either version, does it connect with the EGR system? My car has not had either since I've had...
