235 was what I had. I've used it for drifing and for road racing. I had the car out at pocono with the 18x9+20, 18x10+18 setup on there with 225s in the front, 235s in the back. And the tires weren't what was holding the car back. But you could go a little wider in the back, a 245 should fit, a 255 would probably rub. But I also didn't pull the fenders at all.

So what are the sizes and specs? Just pictures don't do anything for the intent of this thread.

Suspension setups and tire sizes should also be mentioned in this thread as well as any rubbing issues or fender rolling, etc. so other members have a good idea what will fit correctly on their car without running into any issues.

Ask what you want about a wheels fitment and I will try and answer or actually anyone can help. Just remember 18" is not enough info. We need Diamter, Width, and Offset. With out those 3 there will be no answer.

My current set up is 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 with 35 offset all around. It is decently flush but if the front were like 25 I would be more happy. You can use those for a guideline. I am running -1.5 camber in the front and around -2 in the rear

    Ask away.
BorHor, What size are your tires? Reason being is I have the exact same size wheels and offsets you but im having issues with rubbing and sidewall height front vs. Rear.

    Thanks

245-40-18 and 275-35-18 rolled all my fenders with and running some camber.

How far in can you go without hitting the shock? Are you guys pretty close to hitting it? I know the MKIV is 9.5 +50 and that doesn't rub the shock on 275s. Does anyone have a wheel that sticks in farther than that?

    17x8 Front +25, 225/45/17
    17x9 Rear +39, 255/40/17

I personally feel these wheels fit perfect. They are FLUSH in the front. With the 225 I have had them rub only once. I beleive with a slight roll I could fit 235's for sure, possibly 245's but I will do some measurements before confirming. The rear's are almost as flush and allow plenty of fender clearance to fit any size tire. I will be looking at inner clearance but see no problems running 275's. I woud also like to stress that my tires have no stretch. They are very square shouldered and the 255 BFG's tend to run wider than the same size in other brands.

EDIT: Car now has 275's in the rear and the fit is still great.

On my old rims I got to the point where my tire was rubbing my coilover. I was probably like -3 camber though.

To be honest... looks like some people get wide wheels that don't fit, then skimp on tire size (what actually matters) to make them work.

Wiisass - I'm sure you know much more about how suspension systems behave then I do, but it looks like those tires are a little small for the wheels...
