Default Copper, Spool-like sleeve-like Fitting: Where does it go?

Well, I'm ready to reassemble my 1986.5 7M-GE engine to the W58 Transmission. However, I found the pictured Copper, Spool-like & Sleeve-like Fitting in my transmission bolt reassembly bag. I remember taking the fitting off of SOMETHING many moons ago. Maybe it's not even for the tranny-engine connection. Maybe because it's copper it's for electrical continuity. Anybody got a clue, or a better memory as to where this thing goes? Copper Fitting 1.jpgcopper fitting 3.jpeCopper Fitting 2.jpg

These pics are all of the same fitting. Thanks.

GC89. Thanks a million. You got it right. I saw it in the TSRM! Now to move ahead. I'd probably have figured it out. In about six months! THanks!
