    Default 1jz high idle

well all seems well with my 1jz swap except for an idle problem.

upon initial start up it will idle low and after driving around town the idle will be ~1200-1300 rpm.

with an electrical load (ac blower, fan only, ac off) the idle speed will drop down to 1000 or lower, never going below ~600 rpm.

with the AC on the idle will go to where its supposed to be, but that is also due to the extra load as i dont have it set up to raise the idle when the AC comes on.

if i drive around with the ac on (causing it to idle fairly normal) and then turn it off, the idle will jump up very high to ~1300 rpm and stay there.

    any ideas?

A vacuum leak would have the car idling high consistently, in my experience.

    IDLE SPEED CONTROL VALVE!

Try plugging that tube that goes behind the head to the ISCV. If the RPMs drop, that tells you the valve has stuck open.
