The text says you need a two wire signal. You can use SP2+/SP2- or SP1/E2 I believe.

I've given you information to help in my previous post. The posts below mine are redundant and useless. You need to figure out if your gauge will work with a 4ppr signal, or just hook it up and see. If your JZ is wired correctly, there should be the SP1 signal going to your dash through the M1 plug. Pink wire if I recall correctly. Or just tap into the SP2 signals assuming your trans has the secondary speed sensor installed. Not all of them do (I'm not sure auto vs manual)

As for the sensors, all the MC unit does is convert the gear to an electronic unit. The signal from the original electronic unit is identical. Don't waste your money.

You did notice that he also asked where to find the mechanical to electronic conversion stuff in the first post, right?

I'll try to hook it up the way you said this weekend. We'll see how it goes. I just havn't found anyone doing an r154 swap using the electric unit I have.

I was thinking I would have to have a signal coming "from" the ecu and nothing thinking of the signal from the sender itself. Thanks.

And I was still just explaining the "Mechanical conversion" route. Never really input on using the Toyota sensor he already had.

Look at it this way.. if you had just said that he could just plug it in to ecu and speedo on your first post, then the topic would've been done/solved a heck of a lot faster instead of you getting frustrated in the first place. Doesn't hurt to shed the initial information instead of beating around the bush with it, then i'll learn something instead of having to argue to do so!

Admit you were wrong like a man and move on. You misread his original post. Then when I stepped in you got offended and started a pissing match. Nobody mentioned the ECU (including you) until you were already out of the equation. Everyone is wrong at some point and nobody is holding it against you. I just did not want to confuse the OP.

The first set of "devices" I posted was for the mechanical conversion he asked for some info on.
Then in this part (below) Where i was replying to him saying that he had a electronic sensor, not a mechanical gear. I only stated that he MAY need the converter to get the signal to the right pulses as you stated (which was 4ppr according to you).

I would guess you can make that one work, but i think you still may need that Dakota speedo converter thing to get the right signal/pulses. Could just plug in the Toyota one and see if it works?

Also note that I said to try to plug in the toyota one. But I can/will easily admit that im wrong and don't know anything about the electronic speedo stuff, as ive never dealt with one. But im just trying to make you understand that instead of going "The posts below mine are redundant and useless." you could've gone "You dont need any of that crap steven89 mentioned, you can do with what you have..." I honestly don't see where the "pissing" contest ever started, I simply commented or "got offended" in the way that you referred to my posts. Basically just thought the comment on my useless (I agree) information was a bit harsh and uncalled for.
