damn dude the grey and blue look really good together!
Thanks, yeah I don't know why they put all that blue in there from the factory. I was unsure if the grey would go, but it turned out looking better than I thought it would.
Diggin the build man! If you need a hand, let me know, thread subscribed I need to make a thread soon
Yeah, thanks. The only thing is I live in buda just outside of Austin. Its a long drive.
what kind of engine management with 2jz?
1989 MK3 NA-GTE, R154, CT-26.
I'm looking at aem v2. But that's gonna be down the road a bit.
I finally got my tracking number for the engine. It should be here next week. I'm in the process of installing my new brake and clutch master cylinders. Also the non abs brake lines. I should have some pics up later of the engine bay cleaned up. I just got a quote for bellhousing, flywheel, gaskets set , oil pump, and water pump from champion Toyota on supra forums. They came in $200 cheaper then driftmotion. I'll put that money toward the act xtreme 6 puck clutch kit. I'm still not sure where in gonna get that from. I still have to check prices for that. I'll pass on where and what I paid for parts. I'm a cheap ass and will be looking for the bets deal.
I got the engine the other day looks good. Time to start wiring. For the guys that have gone 2j, did you do your own wiring? And if so what sources did you use?
hey another gay blue JZ swap! good luck man

"If that doesnt tickle your nuts correctly than play it safe. Don't get fancy and stick with what has been done. The 1jz came in the car in japan, my grandma has done the swap 17 times, it's documented, you can count your expenses before it happens. Stay safe do that, keep costs down and fix it before you go and make good power. If you're not happy with the power, or the ceramic turbos let go and you want another Beyonce impregnator under your hood, swap in a 2j bottom end down the road and build a monster." -JPE16
Haven't done much, cleaned up the engine bay. Painted the brake booster and installed non abs lines, new clutch cylinder, and brake master cylinder. right now I am in the process of wiring up my aristo harness to my supra. I turned my daughters room into my harness work shop. Tomorrow i will be ordering my oil pump, water pump, flywheel, bell housing and gasket set from champion Toyota. I also bought a hand held media blaster from harbor freight. i will be cleaning the parts i pull off the engine as i swap in gaskets all around. Here are some pics of my progress
Some of my harness mess.
