  5. Putting a 89 Turbo Auto in a 87 N/A 5 spd, and want to use 5 spd tranny.

    Like the title says folks. I have the chance to buy a 89+ Automatic turbo supra. My Supra now is a 87 non turbo 5 spd with the w58.     So i recently bought a 89 5spd n/a, running. The previous owner blew the HG and installed a HKS 1.2MHG with ARP head studs. I currently have ALL the parts i need to NA-t my 7mge.... I'm wondering if it would be a smart move to go na-t, if so, would my risks be the same as going 7mgte? ...

  13. NA Auto to 5 speed?

    So after doing some research it seems that I dont need to change the wiring harness. All I need to do is hook the neutral safety switch up to the clutch switch, and hook up the reverse switch to the reverse lights. Is this correct? Or will the computer go into open loop mode?

    Iv just bought a 2nd hand motor 4 my 86.5 supra. I pulled it down but I am unsure what crank Iv got. Iv heard that the 7m crank is fully counterweighted and has 12 counterweights which this one does.(doesn't have 6m cast on to the crank). Is this a 7m crank? Im just hoping for someone to confirm...
