I drove my car to the local advance auto after getting all my Vf's straight with my newly installed MAFT. It ran like a champ. I was monitoring my Vf's and my A/R's on the way there as a matter of fact. I turn the car off and go inside to pick up a few things. I come back out 5 or so mins later and start my car. The car idles like crap. I tried driving it anyways, the car jolted and struggled to keep idling. I barely managed to get to another parking space. From there i checked every sensor, fuse and harness (TPS, H20's, ISC, CPS, AFM, o2). car still didnt want to idle. I went in advance and borrowed their GM MAF from a friend, i thought that would do it, but if it did i would have nothing to post. I unplugged the MAF, the car ran for about 10 seconds and shut off. I unplugged the TPS, no difference. I unpugged the ISC, RPM's shot up and then the car struggled and died. I reinstalled the original MAF, and the car sounds good for a second idled at 1000 RPMs, and slowly dropped down to zero. I tried to start it a few times like this sometimes the car would surge and the idle would rise, but then in the end it would just die. All this took enogh time for the car to drop almost back down to cold (h2o temp) Any thoughts? Yes i have gas.

to sum it up... car runs like a champ, turn off the car, let it sit for 5 mins, come back out to start it, idles horridly, and then wont idle for more than 10 seconds.

Thanks for reading this, i know its long. I really appreciate it.

Still sounds like you are out of gas. Incorrect gauge reading, no fuel pressure, either way.

You can always check DTC's first.

When i go back to check it, whenever that is, i'll bring gas. It does seem like i'm loosing fuel pressure tho. But i dont understand why the car will start and then die.

check for codes and then check to see how many times the red led in the maft is blinking.

can you hear your fuel pump running when IGN is on? It should be humming/vibrating should be able to hear it. If your still on stock fuel pump I suggest that you swap in the walbro.

injectors and fuel pump (walbro) are both brand new, and i went to start the car this morning and it ran with no more problems? WTF. I immediately put gas in it, and have had no more troubles whatsoever. Not even a stumble at idle.

my only other suggestion would be to check your CPS wires. Sometimes they get old and worn/break. A slight bump and your car will go off. Just a thought, but glad to hear that the car is back up and running.

sorry, i neglected this thread and didnt say what the problem was. I figured out that the problem was a bad wire from the 12volt mod. The wire was fried and the plastic connector was melted. The end result was insufficient power to the fuel pump. Thanks for all the suggestions, it WAS eletrical AND fuel.
